Refund policy

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and unopened
  • In original packaging with all tags intact
  • In the same condition as received

Proof of purchase is required.

To request a return, please contact us at contact@autism-store.com. Returns must be approved prior to being sent back. Items returned without authorization will not be accepted.


Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

Claims for damaged, defective, or incorrect items must be reported within 5 days of delivery. We may request photos to evaluate the issue.

Damage to outer packaging alone does not qualify as product damage if the item itself remains intact and usable.


Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be defective or incorrect.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Perishable goods (including vitamins, supplements, snacks)
  • Personal care or hygiene items
  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Sale items
  • Gift cards

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval status.

If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.

Refunds are issued based on the condition of returned items and in accordance with this policy.


Additional Terms

  • Returns requested due to delivery timing or change of mind are not guaranteed approval
  • Our liability extends only to the original purchaser of record
  • By purchasing, you agree to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback
  • We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that violate this policy
  • International returns are not accepted at this time

RideSafer Vest – Special Return Policy

RideSafer Vests follow a separate return policy from our standard store policy.

Trial & Returns

  • A 45-day return window applies (U.S. orders only)
  • Free returns or exchanges within 15 days of purchase on RideSafer vests
  • After 15 days, return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund
  • Return period begins on the shipment date for backordered items

Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund, items must be:

  • In new or like-new condition
  • Returned with original packaging, registration card, and all included components

Returns are subject to inspection and final approval.

Exchanges

  • Free size exchanges are available within 15 days of purchase
  • After 15 days, shipping costs will apply

Fees & Deductions

  • Shipping costs from the original order are non-refundable
  • Restocking fees (up to 10%) may apply if items are not returned in like-new condition, missing components, or require cleaning

Non-Eligible Returns

  • Returns requested after 45 days
  • Items with visible wear, damage, or missing parts
  • Open box, discontinued, or final sale items
  • International orders (returns not accepted)

Additional Notes

  • Return authorization is required before sending items back
  • The Autism Store is not responsible for items lost or stolen during return transit
  • This policy is subject to change

Internation Orders:

Due to the high cost of international shipping, all international sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders. If your order arrives damaged or you receive the incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos so we can assist you.
